How Dirra works
Three steps, from the file on your phone to a scored practice exam.
1 · Upload the material you already have
A lecture PDF, a Word handout, a set of slides, or a photo of a printed page. Files up to 50MB. Scanned pages and photographs go through OCR first, so handwriting-free printed notes work even when there is no selectable text in the file.
2 · Dirra reads it and maps the content
The text is extracted, split into sections and turned into a content map — the topics the document actually covers, in the order it covers them. Everything Dirra produces afterwards is generated from that map, not from a general question bank.
3 · Study, then test yourself
From the same material you get structured notes, flashcards, quizzes, plain-English explanations, and a chat you can ask questions in. When you are ready, start a timed exam and get scored — including written answers, which are graded by the AI against your own material.
Who Dirra is for
Dirra was built for students and professionals who already have the material and have run out of time to process it: university coursework, professional papers, licensing and certification exams, and anyone revising from lecture slides and handouts rather than from a textbook. It is used mostly on phones, on patchy connections, which is why it installs as an app and keeps what you have already opened available offline.
What Dirra is not
It is not a past-questions bank, and it does not claim coverage of any syllabus. It reads the document you give it and nothing else — so the quality of your practice exam is the quality of your material. It does not replace reading the source, and it will not sit an exam for you. Generated notes and answers can contain mistakes; the file you uploaded stays in your library so you can check them against it.

What is Dirra?
Dirra is a study tool that turns documents you already have into exam preparation: structured notes, flashcards, quizzes and timed practice exams generated from your own uploaded material. It is a web app that also installs as a mobile app, built by Diranx Solutions Limited in Nigeria.
What file types can I upload?
PDF, Word documents (.docx), PowerPoint slides (.pptx) and photos of pages (JPG, PNG, WebP) — the same set on the homepage and inside the app, up to 50MB per file. You can also share material to Dirra over WhatsApp. Pages with no selectable text are read with OCR.
Does Dirra have past questions for my exam?
No. Dirra has no bank of past questions for any named exam. Every question, flashcard and note it produces is generated from the specific document you uploaded. If a topic is not in your material, it will not appear in your practice exam.
Can I trust what it generates?
Treat it as a study aid, not as an authority. The notes and questions are produced by an AI model reading your document, and AI can misread a table, drop a qualifier or state something confidently and wrongly. Flashcards cite the part of your material they came from, and the file you uploaded stays in your library — check anything you plan to memorise against it.
How much does it cost?
Dirra runs on prepaid credits rather than a monthly subscription: you buy credits and each piece of AI work spends some. New accounts start with 4 free credits, and verifying your email adds 3 more — enough to process a first document and see the output before paying anything. Payment is by card or bank transfer through Paystack, and by card through Stripe.
What is Snap & Solve?
Point your phone camera at a single question — on a page, a whiteboard or a screen — and Dirra returns a worked answer with the reasoning, without needing you to upload the whole document first.
Does it work offline?
Partly. Dirra installs as a progressive web app, and notes, flashcards and quizzes you have already opened stay readable without a connection. Generating anything new needs the internet.
What happens to the documents I upload?
They are stored on Dirra’s servers so your library keeps working across devices, and they are used to generate your study material. You can delete a material from your library at any time. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
